The Press Perjuangan Monument was previously an ordinary shop building that has two floors with an "Art Deco" style architecture that was built in 1938.
It was in this building that in 1945 the Indonesian News Agency (Antara) was established, which helped in the struggle for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia at that time.
